Explanation Writing - Special Place - W4T4

 A special place:

Hello to all! Today's Writing is going to be about “ What My Special Place Is”. I hope you enjoy it :)

My special place is School.

School is my Special place because I have very loving friends. I have friends I've known since I was 5 years old and I'm now 13 years old. I have enemies, I have friends and I have bestfriends, my friends are my heart and priority when I step one foot in our School gates!.. In 2020 last year, I met this lovely girl Hannah. We became friends at first then we started getting to know each other… Then in 2021 we found out that we were related, that she was my niece I hadn't seen in a long time because she was living over in Australia. 

Secondly I didn't just learn Math, Reading, Writing ETC, I learnt to be a better person. When I started Pt England School, I didn't think that I would be the person I am today. Loving, Grateful much more… If I hadn't joined this School 7 years ago, I don't know what person I’d be today if I’d been a bad influence, not setting a good example or leading the way. This School has helped me through all of my tough times, and my siblings as well, and I'd love to say if your going to be attending this school through your years, I give it a 10 star rate because they are loving like their your own family.

Sports is one of the main important reasons I come to School. It's like a therapy thing I LOVE to do when I'm feeling a bit down or had a bad day. My main sports are Rugby League, Rugby Union, Volleyball, Rippa Rugby, also very much more..  I love to play outdoors everywhere I go, especially at School or Home. I enjoy playing sports with my friends here at School, and I hope that I can still be friends with my sisters & brothers in the future. Sports helps me with my Anxiety and all, also I'd love to become a NRL player when I get older as my Home Class teachers son Tanielu Tele'a inspires me to achieve my goals.

I come to my Special Place everyday now. I just didn't think staying home during the level 3 lockdown would make me happy, so I decided I would come to bubble school. School is a really fun place to me, especially if you come to Pt England.

Dance - TikTok Tipene

Task Description: Today for Bubble School, we had a period named "Electives". I chose to join Dance which is also known as "Tiktok Tipene", it was really fun getting to dance online with some of the people I enjoy playing with at school and to know that they are stay fit during this level 3 lockdown. 

Is school important - Week 1 - Term 3

Task Description: This week room 3 got given a task. This task is about School, we asked ourselfs is School really important?... We filled this template up with our ideas, and we also wrote a Theory and a Conclusion at the end. Here is my facts and examples of why I think school is important. Enjoy!

Aggs & St Pauls Production.

                           AGGS & ST PAULS PRODUCTION!

INFO 1: Pt England School got invited to watch the Aggs and St Pauls production, along with some other intermidiate schools. They held it yesterday morning! On they way there, we decided to pick up St Patricks intermidiate school only because it was Ms Tele'as friend who couldnt get a bus... My experience was I really enjoyed it and it was pretty funny! By the look of the students faces, it looks like they really really enjoyed it. I am so grateful that Pt England School was invited to Auckland Girls Grammar School, because we never really got to watch a real life production.... Highlight: I really liked there acting skills, and how they made a few mistakes but they kept going, they made their audiance laugh and make these sounds when they had a romantic part!!

Other than that, thankyou to Aggs and St Pauls for inviting us to come and watch your beautiful production, we really enjoyed it! We hope to see you again sometime in the future. Love Pt England xx.

 

Literacy - Week 8 - CoronaVirus

 Information: Coronavirus disease As Of COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a recently discovered coronavirus. The majority of people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. scientists ‘had to discover a test for China weather they wear (Mask) to prevent the pandemic, also they had to go into lockdown to prevent the pandemic spreading.Much of the high death rate can be attributed to crowding in military camps and urban environments, as well as poor nutrition and sanitation, which suffered during the war.

Information Points: 

For the past 2 years in 2020 everything was going fine until something unexpected happened in China, unfortunately someone had started a virus that nobody knew about, until it started spreading around china. AND WAS OFFICIALLY CALLED: Corona-Virious. Also it started because travelling human-kinds were spreading, also The Spanish flu, also known as the 1918 influenza pandemic, was an unusually deadly influenza pandemic caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus. Lasting from February 1918 to April 1920, it infected 500 million people – about a third of the world's population at the time – in four successive waves. 

Information about Covid-19:

Coronavirus has affected India badly. India has caused people to die , survive, and to recover this virus also. The Coronavirus cases in India have caused: 30,002,691 ,, the deaths in India had caused 389,661, and 28,950,726 has recovered in that case. During their pandemic, a lot of people were suffering to breathe, or to even think that they would still be alive, or if they would be caused by the death rates.

Literacy - Week 8 - 2021

 So yesterday on Wednesday, most of the Team 5 students went out to Sports, KPMG, and also to the Ellerslie Gardens. There was also people that stayed back. The students that stayed back at school, we sung beautiful hims and it was just like an normal day at school, but the Team 5 block had less more people then usal.Like about 12 people went down to the Ellerlies gardens to sing to the Elderlies at their rest home. A few students were lucky enough to visit a company in the city, they did a few activity's and did experiments, based on our Term 2 theme. 

All though yesterday was abit different and had abit of changes, Pt England students still managed to roll with it. And to remember we still had to represent our school from school grounds... Thankyou to all who went out to represent our school and our community, also thanks alot to the Ellerlies gardens rest home for letting us come and sing some of our beautiful songs to you. Hope we can get the chance again during the year.

Novel Study - Literacy

Facts about reader - Literacy

Task Description: Yesterday Miss Tipene's literay had to read a book for our reading task. For my literacy group , we read a book named: Kauri Dieback. We had to do facts about the reader, and I also worked on this with my buddy Sauma. Hope you enjoy!

Task Description: Today I decided to start an Story Time Online Story with my buddy Sauma. We read a book called " How I learned Geography ". This book was really fun to read. We decided to do this because our literacy work was finished , and we had nothing to do so we did this.

Task Description: Today we had rotations. We did Te Reo Maori and we learnt to count time in Te Reo Maori.

Task Description: Today my literacy class learnt more about climate change. We had to find facts and we also had to name what it meant, for this task I worked on it with a friend of mine and her name is Tori.

Family Reunion - Literacy room 5

Title: Family Reunion.

Introduction: Today in this piece of writing i'm going to be explaining what a Family gatherings, Family respect, Activities and Games. And what we do at family gatherings or reunions.

Info 1: Family gatherings:

Family gatherings are when your whole family turns up to a hall, or one of your family members' houses.  A family gathering is when you meet your loved ones, or some of your family members you haven't met before, and it's just where you get to spend time with your family. When you meet new family members, you always have to treat them like you’ve already met them before because it shows respect. These kinds of family reunions give time for you and your family to have time off work, and it also gives time for you to meet new people in the family. 

Info 2: Family Respect:

Family respect is when you respect your family. Respecting your family is a must, you should always be respectful to your family! When mum or dad asks you to go get something for them, you don't say no you say yes. Showing respect to your siblings even though they can be annoying at times, respect should always be shown to anyone and everyone. 

Info 3: Activities/Games:

Playing games with your family and also doing fun activities with your family is called communication. Communicating with your family and playing games is good, you get to play with them for the whole day and you also get to become great and close cousins or siblings. Playing fun activities is amazing, at a family gathering there will always be this one cousin or sibling doing a fun activity, it could either be touch, tag, hide and seek, or rugby.

Conclusion: So in this writing, I wrote about Family gatherings,Family respect and Activities and games. Reconnecting with your family before adults go away, either to another country or they are very sick and they have 1-2 days left to live, it's so important to go to every family gathering.

Why is school important - Literacy room 5

 Title: Why is school important?

Intro: School is one of the most important things for us kids. It can teach you to use tools in life and also in the future. School is important because it helps you get good grades. For example , why is school important? Because it acknowledges the stages in the topics you have done during your journey through school, and it also helps you.  

Info 1: School is important because we learn about life and the future. School is important because we learn new things, new things you learn can teach you more and more about life. School provides high grades and the perfect grades you're meant to be at, school also provides exposure to activities, ideas, and fields of knowledge that you might never encounter otherwise. School can help you to get good educations either for college or university. 

Info 2:  The difference between school and life, is that school teaches you heaps about your grades and ideas through life. School is important not only because it teaches more about life, but only it helps you get good grades and it can make you become a good worker. People that dont bother to go to school just don't love school. For me I kind of love school but not that much, I'm very thankful that we have schools around because if it wasn't my grades won't be where they are at right now!

Info 3: School lets you do heaps of things in your classroom, being in school not only teaches you but it makes you get more friends. School is important because it teaches us about the world around us and prepares us with the tools we will need for future success in the job market. Schools can teach you heaps more, even if you don't like it, it still can teach you heaps and if you don't do what you are told then you won't learn.

Conclusion: Students that go school have been teached heaps, we have been teached more about life, more about the future, and mainly more about our grades. Going to school everyday, waking up early in the morning at 7:00 just to get ready for school, it just shows you how much you want to learn from school.

Speeches - Te Reo Maori

Task Description: For today in Te Reo, we worked on our Maori Speeches. We had to buddy up with a partner, and I chose to go with my friend Zoe. We woked on this together, hope you enjoy!

Why is school important?

Task Description: For today in literacy we decided to write about why school is important. School should always be important because it teache's you much more, it gets your grades higher and higher (The more you learn). I decided to only do 3 informations about why its important, we are working on our writing because we have tests coming up soon and these writing we write go into our reports so we can go to good colleges.

Blue Mountains - Room 5

Today room 3 has been switched up into different classes. Since its only Wednesday, room 3 went to room 1 and room 5. Tomorrow we are going to go room 4 and room 11, switching classes is so much fun. We get to hangout with different teachers!
