Today room 3 had been Reading some articles of Literacy Planet. For todays Reading I decided to read about " Why you should always tell the truth". Here are some things I found out.
In the original story, The Adventures of Pinocchio, written between 1881-1883, the author Carlo Collodi depicts a wooden boy who has all the characteristics of a real boy, albeit, a very naughty boy. As soon as Geppetto, his father, creates Pinocchio in his workshop (for Geppetto is a woodcarver who dreams to have a son), Pinocchio immediately gets up to all sorts of mischief. He laughs at Geppetto and runs away from him. He lies and tells all sorts of fanciful stories to avoid getting in trouble. Pinocchio quickly learns that telling a lie will help him avoid getting into trouble at least in the short term.
I recommend you guys to read this story because it helps you not to lie, always tell the truth and become a better person. This is a really fun and true story to read. This story has helped me and taught me a lesson and that is , to always tell the truth right or wrong! I give this story a 100 star rate...
Why you should always tell the truth < There is the link. Enjoy!

A special place:
Hello to all! Today's Writing is going to be about “ What My Special Place Is”. I hope you enjoy it :)
My special place is School.
School is my Special place because I have very loving friends. I have friends I've known since I was 5 years old and I'm now 13 years old. I have enemies, I have friends and I have bestfriends, my friends are my heart and priority when I step one foot in our School gates!.. In 2020 last year, I met this lovely girl Hannah. We became friends at first then we started getting to know each other… Then in 2021 we found out that we were related, that she was my niece I hadn't seen in a long time because she was living over in Australia.
Secondly I didn't just learn Math, Reading, Writing ETC, I learnt to be a better person. When I started Pt England School, I didn't think that I would be the person I am today. Loving, Grateful much more… If I hadn't joined this School 7 years ago, I don't know what person I’d be today if I’d been a bad influence, not setting a good example or leading the way. This School has helped me through all of my tough times, and my siblings as well, and I'd love to say if your going to be attending this school through your years, I give it a 10 star rate because they are loving like their your own family.
Sports is one of the main important reasons I come to School. It's like a therapy thing I LOVE to do when I'm feeling a bit down or had a bad day. My main sports are Rugby League, Rugby Union, Volleyball, Rippa Rugby, also very much more.. I love to play outdoors everywhere I go, especially at School or Home. I enjoy playing sports with my friends here at School, and I hope that I can still be friends with my sisters & brothers in the future. Sports helps me with my Anxiety and all, also I'd love to become a NRL player when I get older as my Home Class teachers son Tanielu Tele'a inspires me to achieve my goals.
I come to my Special Place everyday now. I just didn't think staying home during the level 3 lockdown would make me happy, so I decided I would come to bubble school. School is a really fun place to me, especially if you come to Pt England.
What is your special place?
Why is it your special place?
Do you love going there?
Task Description: Today Pt England year 7&8s done a Writing Test. Enjoy.
Social Sciences:
Today room 3 was talking about "Social Sciences". We talked about the Vaccine, only because people on TikTok and Instagram have been saying that we got dosed with a metal inside our arm. So our Team 5 teachers decided to put together a movie of trying it. You'll have to get a metal something then slide it down your arm where you got your dose, and see if it actually works. Our teahcers said it didnt work and we even have proof of it!

AGGS & ST PAULS PRODUCTION!
INFO 1: Pt England School got invited to watch the Aggs and St Pauls production, along with some other intermidiate schools. They held it yesterday morning! On they way there, we decided to pick up St Patricks intermidiate school only because it was Ms Tele'as friend who couldnt get a bus... My experience was I really enjoyed it and it was pretty funny! By the look of the students faces, it looks like they really really enjoyed it. I am so grateful that Pt England School was invited to Auckland Girls Grammar School, because we never really got to watch a real life production.... Highlight: I really liked there acting skills, and how they made a few mistakes but they kept going, they made their audiance laugh and make these sounds when they had a romantic part!!
Other than that, thankyou to Aggs and St Pauls for inviting us to come and watch your beautiful production, we really enjoyed it! We hope to see you again sometime in the future. Love Pt England xx.
Goodmorning Everyone!
Last week on Friday, some of the year 7 and 8 girls went out to Royal Oak to play rugby against there girls. It was just a fun game because we wanted to play a friendly game before we had Auckland Champs this week Wednesday. Our first tournament Pt England year 7 and 8 girls came first in the whole of Glen Innes bounds. Rugby union is just like rugby league but you have to be planted on the ground like a V shape.
When we arrived at Royal Oak Intermediate, we got told by one of their girls that we had specific changing rooms. We had five minutes to put our boots on and to get changed. After we finished that, I took my fowards in a corner and Hannah took her backs into a corner as well. I talked to my fowards about not to be scared to tackle or run it straight, and then we did some stretches so we can warm up our bodys ready for the game.
Now we were really here, a student from Royal Oak guided us to where the Changing rooms are so we can put our boots on. Not long after that we ran outside to where the fields were and started warming up, 30 minutes later and kickoff as started. Here we go..
We were loosing in the first half, the girls in Royal Oak Inter kept getting back to back tries and we were slowly using hope. Once 1st half finished and we had a 5 minute break before 2nd half started. We were all exhausted and tired but Ms Timmi told us to ‘Keep going, and to never give up !’1
One afternoon, a father and son wanted to go out for the day. Dad took his son Mason out to the park, and to a fancy restaurant. Dad was really really happy that he got to spend time with Mason because he was usually always at work. This really fancy steak restaurant in Texas is called Fearing’s. After their day out, Mason thanked his Dad for taking time off work to spend it with him.
It was getting late and dark, Dad said to Mason that it was time to head home. Mason agrred. They made their way to the subway, and waited for the right subway to arrive. Mason had a Nikon D3500 camera that he took heaps of photos on… A few minutes went by and then their subway had arrived. Mason took 2 steps to the door, and the door suddenly closed!

So yesterday on Wednesday, most of the Team 5 students went out to Sports, KPMG, and also to the Ellerslie Gardens. There was also people that stayed back. The students that stayed back at school, we sung beautiful hims and it was just like an normal day at school, but the Team 5 block had less more people then usal.Like about 12 people went down to the Ellerlies gardens to sing to the Elderlies at their rest home. A few students were lucky enough to visit a company in the city, they did a few activity's and did experiments, based on our Term 2 theme.
All though yesterday was abit different and had abit of changes, Pt England students still managed to roll with it. And to remember we still had to represent our school from school grounds... Thankyou to all who went out to represent our school and our community, also thanks alot to the Ellerlies gardens rest home for letting us come and sing some of our beautiful songs to you. Hope we can get the chance again during the year.
Yr 8 Kauaeranga Valley Leadership Camp 2021
Kia ora and welcome to my blog , Last week on Wednesday the Yr 8's set off to a leadership camp at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp ( KVCC ) This was a camp that helped us to grow bigger as leaders at school or at home, not only did camp help us as leaders but it also helped us work together and better in a team, Teamwork does the Dreamwork ! Mrs Tele'a taught us a saying in Samoan which was Tautua which means To Serve Others . Coming from this camp I know there will be opportunities to step up and be a leader .
As we arrived we had to take out our camping bags, and settled in a hall, where they introduced there stuff members, also as we were looking outside, we saw families that also lived nearby close, which was a great community, on our first activity, we all year 8 groups went to the GYM, it was a pretty big GYM with a few games on the 2nd floor, first we did activities together, and first came was Kauaranga.
My highlight for Yr 8 Camp would have to be the Polynesian Theme Dinner Night because we were all dressed up in our Colourful Flower lei's we brought which was for the Dinner . During the poly dinner night there was Karoke playing, Poly music playing and cheers going through the room . The food was amazing and tasty, mainly the dessert ( Churros and Ice - Cream drizzled with Chocolate Syrup ) mmm amazing . Not only that, right before we ate the lights turned off and glowing lights from the ceiling were so bright and filled the room , it was like a mini concert happening in the dining room .
Can't forget the challenging but fun activities held at camp which was Paintball, Flying fox, Axe Throwing, Air Riffles, Railway Jiggers, Go - Karts, Camp Search, a big Trampoline to jump on during free time and an enormous Gym place to also play during free time .
