Meet Measurement

Task Description: Today room 3 got given a Math Task. We had to work on what units we had to use for things, and also to make sure we know how to Measure. Hope you enjoy!   

FiaFia @ PES

FiaFia is like a culture performance. PES have always run FiaFia nights. We all get into groups of our cultures or passion. We also have to learn a dance that's related to our culture. This has been going on for 8 years or more ,, and this year I decided to join the Samoan Group!

Jenny Salesa Visit - Room 3

Today Jenny Salesa Attented Point England school for a visit and to talk about what she works for. Jenny Salesa talked about alot of things, and she also told us that she works for the Parliament and also works for Jacinda Ardern. Hope you enjoy!

Camp - Kauaeranga

             Yr 8 Kauaeranga Valley Leadership Camp 2021 

Kia ora and welcome to my blog , Last week on Wednesday the Yr 8's set off to a leadership camp at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp ( KVCC ) This was a camp that helped us to grow bigger as leaders at school or at home, not only did camp help us as leaders but it also helped us work together and better in a team, Teamwork does the Dreamwork ! Mrs Tele'a taught us a saying in Samoan which was Tautua which means To Serve Others . Coming from this camp I know there will be opportunities to step up and be a leader .    

As we arrived we had to take out our camping bags, and settled in a hall, where they introduced there stuff members, also as we were looking outside, we saw families that also lived nearby close, which was a great community, on our first activity, we all year 8 groups went to the GYM, it was a pretty big GYM with a few games on the 2nd floor, first we did activities together, and first came was Kauaranga.

My highlight for Yr 8 Camp would have to be the Polynesian Theme Dinner Night because we were all dressed up in our Colourful Flower lei's we brought which was for the Dinner . During the poly dinner night there was Karoke playing, Poly music playing  and cheers going through the room . The food was amazing and tasty, mainly the dessert ( Churros and Ice - Cream drizzled with Chocolate Syrup ) mmm amazing . Not only that, right before we ate the lights turned off and glowing lights from the ceiling were so bright and filled the room , it was like a mini concert happening  in the dining room . 

Can't forget the challenging but fun activities held at camp which was Paintball, Flying fox, Axe Throwing, Air Riffles, Railway Jiggers, Go - Karts, Camp Search, a big Trampoline to jump on during free time and an enormous Gym place to also play during free time .

LeaderShip - Yr 8.

Last week on Wednesday the 19th of May , all of the year 8's went to a beautiful fun camp. The camp was called " Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp " .  It was more like a leadership camp. Anyways , when we came back yesterday , we got a task given to us and it was about LeaderShip. 

14 Auckland beaches declared unsafe - Literacy (Room 5)

Task Description: Today for reading we have done this task called a read off. I choose the article 14 Auckland beaches declared unsafe. It is unsafe to swim in the 14 beaches due to animal pop and you could get really sick.  

Tokelau - Room 3

Niue Language Week - Room 3

Task Description: This week is Niuean Language week, for Niuean language week we are doing posters. The posters have to be facts which was the other post I did, and this post is all about the greetings in Niue. I worked on this with 2 buddys and there names are Zoe and Tori. Hope you enjoy!

Task Description:: For today in maths, we worked on our line graphs. Todays task was all about line graphs, the Y is the vertical and the X is horizontal, I worked on this task with 2 buddys Tori and Zoe.

Why it is important to swim? - Room 3

Task Description: Today room 3 chose to work oh Te Whare Tapa Wha "Taha Tinana". We had to talk about why it is important to swim, because we get the chance to go to the G.I pools and learn how to swim. I worked on it with a friend of mine, and her name is Zoe and Tori.

The man we chose to do was "Georges Seurat" this persons art is so beautiful, we decided to write about him, and also have some good key facts about Georges Seurat. Whare Tapa Wha - Room 3

Task Description: For todays Te Whare Tapa Wha, room 3 worked on Taha Wairua. Taha Wairua relates to Religious beliefs , Appreciating nature, Meaning of life. My buddy Mele and I worked on this task together, we just did a photo that repersents Aotearoa. 

Taha Tinana - Physical wellbeing

 

Task Description: This week room 3 has been working on our Te Whare Tapa Wha. This task relates to our health, well-being and much more... For todays task, room 3 worked on "Taha Tinana" this Tapa Wha relates to our physical wellbeing! We had to buddy up into partners, but my friends and I decided to go as one group. This is what we have done, I hope you enjoy our Slide :)

IKAN 2 - Math test

Today room 3 had a Math test. Room 3 Math class did this test because our teacher wanted to see what kind of Math we are good at. We went thorugh this 2 times, so we can hear out what it is saying and so we can know what kind of Math it is! Our teacher explained to us at the end what we didnt get right, and we ticked it if we got it right and put a small dot by it if it was wrong.
